Frankfurt Book Fair 2011

Wednesday, October 19th, 2011

Advocate Art were in a prime location within Hall 8 this year at the Frankfurt Book Fair 2011. Two of Advocate’s agents Kate and Hannah represented the team and it looks like they had a great time setting up their stand, networking, and enjoying the fair! Around 7,400 exhibitors from 106 countries were present, and with over 3,200 events taking place, the fair attracted 283,000 visitors! As well as exhibitors and visitors from the book industry, other related industries were also present including film, games, and information and communications technology. This year the Book Fair saw a 1 percent rise in visitors from 2010.
All of us at Advocate illustration agency were thrilled to see two of our Advocate illustrators Paul Nicholls and Alida Massari featured as the ‘best in the world’ on the Usborne stand! So a big well done to them!

Advocate artists Sarah Alcock, Bill Bolton and Simon Abbott featured heavily on the Bonnier Group Stand for Five Mile press/Autumn and Piccolia.

Well done to everyone involved  and a great show all round!
