One of Advocate arts fantastic children’s illustrators Liza Lewis has been featured on the Print and Pattern blog with four new prints she has designed for children’s wall art. Liza is a UK based designer and specialises in illustrating for greeting cards and for art licensing. Each print portrays a different animal doing something ridiculous, like a lion riding a motorbike! We think they are great and perfect for a child’s bedroom! Her prints are being sold by Oopsy Daisy, click here to see more. To see Liza’s online portfolio on the Advocate art website please click here.

Advocate’s freelance illustrator Liza Lewis has recently featured in the new Print and Pattern book with her cute and quirky designs. She has done many greeting card commissions as well as designs for gift wrap and home furnishings. Her inspiration comes from her children, dog, books, toys, music, fabric and plants. We love her gorgeous patterns and illustrations and think her place in Print and Pattern is well deserved, well done Liza!

Liza Lewis Biography

Liza Lewis is Children’s and Greetings Card Artist represented by Advocate Art illustration agency. She has always loved reading comic books, since she was a little girl, and still does now. Her favourites are Asterix and Obelix, Snoopy and Garfield. She has also always loved Richard Scarry’s books, as they are so full of wonderful animal characters and little details.

Liza’s specific interest lies in children’s illustration and design. She enjoys infusing her quirky animal characters with colour and creativity. The creative process for Liza usually begins with a collection of pieces that will influence her on a particular project. She starts with a rough drawing and builds it up using Illustrator or Photoshop. Currently Liza is working with lots of different textures, giving her designs/illustrations a fresh new approach.

In her spare time Liza likes to walk her dog, (a cheeky Cairn Terrier named Lucy), watch movies, bake cakes and spend time with her children.
