Ed Myer Map Book Sample

Last week Advocate Art illustration agency received these lovely samples from five mile press, illustrated by children’s book illustrator Ed Myer. These fantastic Novelty children’s books called ‘Around My Farm/Town – explore and play’ feature a huge fold out map and little pop out characters for children to take on journeys around the town and farm. At Advocate art, we are very excited to announce Ed Myer as our illustrator of the month. He creates his bright colourful illustrations by hand drawing the scenes and characters and then colouring them digitally, his style is very popular in children’s books and he has been published in many countries.

His extensive experience in illustrating allows him to draw anything and everything, from pets to pirates and farm animals to space ships; his combination of colour, composition and lively characters brings his artwork to life. Ed Myer is a Manchester-born illustrator represented by Illustration agency Advocate art.

Ed is now living in London. After growing up in an artistic household, surrounded by other artists in the family, Ed studied ceramics at university but always continued drawing pictures.

As well as illustration, Ed likes travelling, playing computer ames and walking little ted (his Jack russell).
