A number of our children’s book and greetings card illustrators have been getting in touch with their feminine sides (even the boys!) and sending in some fabulous fairies for children’s picture books. These fun, pink and girly illustrations have brightened up our office a treat; definitely full of sugar, spice and all things nice.

Featured below are fairies from Becka Moor, Dani Cruz, Ela Jarzabek, Helen Graper, Jacqui Davis, Laura Coleman, Lawrence Chase, Louise Forshaw, Nicola Anderson, Nikki Dyson, Nina De Polonia, Regina Silva, and Sophie Burrows. Kates Adventures!

Wednesday, February 20th, 2013

With Kate just arriving back from her Adventures across the pond, we thought we’d show you what she’s been up to over the past week!

She started off the week at the London Toy Fair, before jetting off to Nuremberg, Germany, for the biggest toy fair in the world! Next stop was New York City for yet another Toy Fair, before heading to a very cold Minnesota, Minneapolis. With a short stopover in Chicago, we finally have Kate back in the Advocate offices! Welcome back, Kate!

An update on our work in progress! With the new Advocate stand being used for the first time at the Frankfurt Paperworld exhibition this week, we’re very happy with how fantastic it looks. With it’s lights and hundreds of images by our artists being displayed around the stand, it’s been drawing a lot of attention. Maybe we’ll catch you at one of the fairs soon, and you can see it in action for yourself!

Heads up for Heads up!

Tuesday, January 15th, 2013

We’ve been extremely busy at Advocate this week getting our 2013 edition of the Heads Up calendar and agency book sent out! The offices have been looking a lot like Santas workshop, with hundreds of boxes to fold and pack, it’s all been very hectic!

The calendar features plenty of wonderful work from our artists throughout 2012, with lots of inspiration to get you through the new year! It ranges from children’s books and greetings cards to real style and photography, and now that these little packages should be arriving, we hope you love Heads Up as much as we do!

Warrior of the Week

Thursday, November 29th, 2012

This week’s Warrior of the Week is: Dargo the Deadly. Once a fortnight the hills ’round the Golden City tremble with a great rumbling roar. This is a reminder to all who dare try to breach the king’s coffers that they are guarded by the great red dragon, Dargo. At tournament he will use his claws and fiery breath against any weapon that shall be brandished against him, and he does it all in the name of the King. He stands at 10’0″ and weighs 1 ton. His searing hot breath is his most valuable weapon.

‘These flames of duty can both warm and wound.’ – Dargo the Deadly

Warrior of the Week!

Thursday, November 1st, 2012

This week’s Warrior of the Week is: Sir Madawc the Merciless. The King’s youngest brother Sir Madawc was raised on the battlefield of the War of the Mighty. Because of this upbringing, Madawc is uncomfortable in times of peace. All fights with Madawc are swift and end with him victorious! Often accompanied by his trusted falcon, relentless, Sir Madawc will stop at nothing short of victory! He stands at 5’8″, and weighs 152 lbs, his strength on the battlefield come from his speed and agility and his 100% focus on victory!

‘My Falcon brings the fury.’ – Sir Madawc the Merciless

Warrior of the Week!

Thursday, October 25th, 2012

This week’s Warrior of the Week is: Sir Bertram the Beautiful. Sir Bertram is a true gallant as grifter with song as he is with as sword. Adored by all the ladies of the land, he is never without a gaggle of admirers who cover his path with roses. He stands at 5’11″, and weighs 157 lbs, his strength on the battlefield comes from his fantastic sword play and of course his magical voice!

‘My true beauty comes from my brave heart’ – Sir Bertram the Beautiful
