Ted Hayward is a self-taught painter of disappearing peoples, wildlife and landscapes. He has no formal art training but the natural world itself, in all its colour and texture, has proved to be a wonderful tutor.
In his work he aspires to capture some of the diversity that one encounters in everyday life. This is especially true for his work now, as he is living amongst the chaos of modern urbanization and industrial revolution. His search of subject material has taken him from British Columbia, Canada to the Republic of China where he now resides.
Nowadays Ted splits his time between teaching and painting. His current projects include pioneering a radically new digital, interactive art form, “Multi-Sensory Moving Art’’.
